Um….Okay. This makes me sad a bit. Not squeamish, but sad.

The irony is that there was an entire family dumped there dead. This was the best image I got.

I have to agree with jamie. This photo is a sad one. If you look closely, those rat hands look, well, human. Don’t get me wrong though. I don’t want one of these things in my apartment. But it is the year of the rat!!! Peace brother.

The other thing that was there that morning was a mother and child right next to each other. They looked so sad and pathetic. The juveniles seemed smoother and neater, while the adults looked, well, ratty. The adults were big (and scary), and that allowed me to take a more estranged attitude towards the one you see above. A block down Skillman I saw a rat hole with a gallon jug propped above it letting out the liquid demise of this family. You gotta wonder about the super who just toted them up the block and littered the sidewalk with their corpses.

The little hands and the smooth coats made me sad: the three pound parents were sobering.
