Winter’s Filthy Finish

March 13, 2015

Sometime in April under some black crust

This winter’s last filthy snow’ll liquidate

Spring’s flowers will obscure a world at rust

At snow’s death & decay we’ll celebrate´╗┐

The world is annotated by people
Citizens scribble their commentary
In the narrow margins of survival
Since life has become a commissary

The bloody scribbles on the cell walls mark
People’s last mortal utterances made
Written by those who were kept in the dark
(Final silent material tirade)

The next time you see vandalism there
Whether tattoos, muscles or a car
Remember it’s graffiti of despair
Poor people writing their “probable cause”*

So, please watch the world with a scholar’s eye
Some, for this Krylon marginalia, died
